Hello residents of Utah! My name is Kasey. I want to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Provo, Utah and currently reside in the greater Salt Lake area. Ever since I was little, I’ve had a fascination with tools, building, fixing things, being helpful, and understanding how things are made. I remember finding my handyman fathers tool belt and stuffing as many hand tools as I could in the pouches. I would then walk around the house and pretend to fix everything in sight. The process of seeing something that needed to be fixed or made better, then turning that into something functional, pleasing to the eye, and in good working order was the ultimate satisfaction. I always enjoyed helping my father or helping neighbors with the various projects they were working on.
Later in life this translated into something that would become a lifelong passion. In high school I got my first job in construction one summer working for a general contractor building home additions. I remember being told by my supervisor that I had an eye for detail, and that working with my hands came very naturally to me. It fueled my love for building. At the time I was also taking every drafting and architecture related class I could at school. Design and architecture are also a passion of mine and I love that step of the building process.
After high school I got a job working for a large commercial siding and roofing company. Boy that was hard work. I continued to work for them while doing my own small building and handyman jobs for friends and family. Years later I left the roofing company and decided I wanted to focus on working as a carpenter and handyman. I worked for a finish carpentry company until the housing crash in 2008 and then decided to get into home automation. I worked in home automation and smart home systems while doing handyman work during my off hours for the next several years. In 2017 I decided to focus on my own business doing remodeling, finish carpentry, and handyman work. Fast forward to today I have branched out into building custom homes while continuing to do renovation and remodel work. I also have a passion for woodworking and design.
I understand that it can be very frustrating finding reliable contractors that show up consistently, stand behind their work, and are passionate about what they do. I am not in this business because of a desire to make money or stay busy. I am in the construction industry because I feel I have something great to offer. I love working to make your ideas come to life. I created my company ReKaDa Building Creations to reflect my individuality and passion for what I do. I love designing and building something that I can be proud of, both in business and in building. I want to take your ideas, needs, wants, and visions and work with you to make them come to life. Building is not something I merely want to do; it is something I feel deeply drawn to and I passionately care about. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me and my story.
